North Market

The Need

Dating back to 1876, the North Market proudly touts itself as “Central Ohio’s Authentic Public Market”, a destination that serves over one million guests each year and is consistently ranked as one of the top public markets in the country. In 2019 when they planned for a massive upgrade to the original facility as well as an expansion to a 2nd location in Dublin’s burgeoning Bridge Park development, the need for a new web presence was evident.

The Plan

Collaborating with our marketing and media partner at FlyWheel Advertising, the primary challenge was to promote the new location without diminishing the emphasis and authenticity of the original historic market. On a practical level however, there were challenges of adding functionality including an online grocery ordering system, e-commerce platform, event calendar, and integration of existing blog and social media channels — all of which required usability testing, content and messaging strategy, as well as process development and training for the associated staff and stakeholders.
